I've always loved them. But this show has transformed my love into a slightly disturbing form of obsession. My mind's still polarised; is it art or fashion? Whatever it is, it's unbelievable. I wish I could have been there to witness such an embodiment of genius, of pure innovation.

I'm also digging Corey Corcoaran's new work for his exhibition 'Half Life' at the fivesevendelle in Boston massachusetts . I simply love the colour and texture; It's the kind I want to incorporate in my major work.

"Through paintings, mixed media, and site-specific installation, Corcoran creates dense visual ecosystems. Using everything from plaster to watercolor and faux fur, his landscapes teeter on the edge of collapse and fruition. Half-dead bodies fill these transitory spaces as gods of destruction or biological fodder for its change. Color, texture, and pattern act as the primordial soup from which the notion of progress and finality may arise."

I'd make, or at least try to make, my boyfriend dress something like these fellas, if there wasn't such a word as "poofta". It's a word tossed around so lightly here. If a guy wears a scarf or basically anything other than boardies, jeans and a t-shirt, his sexuality is immediately questioned, or most often determined as gay. The males around here are incredibly boring style wise and I don't know whether or not its a personal decision.

Actually the more I think about it, the more I think it probably wouldn't suit him... ha

The more I see this collection the more I like it. It has a slight femininity to it that's kind of uneasy yet empowering at the same time? They're all such bold and textured pieces in a simple effective pallette, i love it. In particular, I've fallen for the galactic type print. If only you could find this sort of thing at the opp shop.

So, If I was rebellious and shit, which I'm not, I'd leave home and follow some fancy dream of mine. I'd make like fire. I'd leave a little note on the kitchen table for my unassuming and proud parents. It'd be short and sweet, something like "fuck expectations, but I still love you". And with a thousand bucks or so, my paints, canvas, brushes, and a camera, I'd hitch-hike my way to the city. Maybe acquire swine flu along the way. From there I'd catch the next flight to France, or some equally appealing country and rely purely upon the kindness of strangers and bus shelters. My parents would be worried sick so I'd send them a post card with minimal yet reassuring details. SO... long story short, I'd hit the bucks big time with my paintings and what not. I'd get friendly with all the incredibly well dressed euros, my paintings would grace galleries and the pages of too many magazines. I'll go down in history.

Ha. I make myself chuckle.

Weekends are horrible when you know how much homework you've got to do. Procrastination is the only solution.
